Member of the Queensland Interior Decorators Association

  • As a Colour Consultant, I‘ll talk to you on the phone to get a picture of the scope of what you hope to achieve. This initial consultation is free of charge. I will also provide you with a quote so you will know what to expect on the day – no nasty little surprises!
  • If you then decide to engage my services, I will arrange a meeting with you on site or at your home.
  • Next is the most exciting and important aspect of our meeting – selecting paint colours!
  • In the colour selection process I will consider the physical aspects of your home, your existing furnishings, discuss your likes and dislikes and take into account your lifestyle and personality and will create a colour scheme, with your input that will complement your home!
  • How do we do this? For inspiration, we may select colours featured in one of your favourite pieces of artwork or from your accessories. With the use of A4 paint colour swatches, we can refine the colours and tones to find the perfect colour matches for your home.
  • I will help you visualise your colour scheme and how it will flow throughout your home.
  • Finally I will provide you with a specification detailing the colours and products and swatches of your paint colours.

That depends on the scope of your project and the size and design of your home. No job is too small. No matter whether you are planning to redecorate one room in your home or refurbishing the entire inside and outside, our fees will be structured to suit your project and budget.

  • Colour consultancy fees range from $160.00 per hour. An average consultation is 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours or
  • A fixed price quote can be provided to suit your budget and your needs
  • Many years of colour training and experience allow me to recommend the perfect colours for your project thus saving you time and money. This is time that you could be spending on more important things.
  • Many home owners spend a lot of time visiting paint stores to collect colour charts or buying paint sample pots and find the colour choices overwhelming. A colour that may look good in the store won’t necessarily suit your home environment. Consequently, I am trained to help you avoid time-consuming, costly mistakes.
  • I can recommend an interior and/or exterior paint colour scheme which will complement your home and its design features so that it co-ordinates with your furnishings and will aesthetically flow. Your colour scheme will have that WOW factor!
  • I will provide as much or as little professional advice as you require and always ensure that you are included in the final decision making process.
  • You may not have had the time to keep up to date with colour trends. This is where I come in. I can share the top colour trends with you or we can select tried and trusted colours that have lasted the test of time. That way you will not have an out-of-date colour scheme.
  • I can help you make a final decision on your colour palette and give you the confidence to pull everything together to make it work.
  • Most definitely.
  • When designing the exterior colour scheme, factors we will consider include the architectural style of your home, its location (bush or beach perhaps), existing homes in street (so that we don’t replicate someone else’s colour scheme) and of course your personal preferences and lifestyle.
  • Not only that, I will ensure that your exterior and interior colours flow together and will create an environment that you will love to come home to.
  • The colour scheme we design will be well-balanced to provide a fabulous first impression and will add value to your home.

Renovating can be a daunting task with so much to consider but I can provide you with a plan to style your renovation. It’s best to get together and discuss a plan in the early stages so that your renovation is structured and not piece meal.

  • There is no need for you to source samples, I carry a large range with me including Dulux, Wattyl, Laminex, Caesar Stone, to name just a few. However, It’s a good idea to do a little bit of research on-line and browse home decorating magazines prior to our consultation so that you have a concept in mind.

The scope of my services include:

  • Interior and exterior paint colour schemes, including feature walls
  • Kitchen renovation finishes & colours for bench tops, cabinets, splashbacks and tiling
  • Bathroom renovation products & colours for vanities, tiles, fixtures & fittings
  • Selection of floor coverings including floor tiles
  • Interior decorating and design ideas to put the finishing touches to your home such as rugs, cushions, throws, artwork

I will give you the tools and confidence to decorate and tie in your new design to enhance your living space, thus lessening the frustration you may have experienced in the past from having too many choices.

Detailed preparation prior to marketing your home has proven to increase buyer interest and can achieve a higher selling price (in most circumstances). Buyers are more likely to pay more for a property if it is well presented and ready to move into than one which needs a lot of work.

I can help you identify the best approach to give your property the maximum appeal with:

  • Updating tired paint work with fresh new colours
  • Carpet cleaning or replacement of floor coverings
  • Refurbishment ideas for your kitchen and bathroom
  • Keen ideas to de-cutter your house and garden
  • Creative ideas for furniture placement to maximise the space in your rooms
  • Referrals to tradespeople

So, let’s get to work on your pre-sale home makeover and highlight your property’s best features to make it more competitive and appealing in the market place with a few cost-effective measures.
